I prepared these European Championships by going for a jogging on saturday, 11.8km Beauvechain which I won.

On sunday I made a multi-session training on track with my bike on a Tacx.
Goal: to run 2km high speed, get on my bike to cycle 5km, and put my running shoes again for a 1km run at 100%. All this: 3times.

So, it is very well prepared that I'm going to Horst, Netherlands, for the EC Duathlon Sprint.

Menu: 5km run in the city, 20km bike and 2.5km run. It promised to be fast! It was!
I hang the first group in the run, we are 6 in the first transition, we ride all relaying properly on the bike and although the second group came back to us around 2km from the transition area, I tried to enter the transition first.

I leave the transition on the 2nd place and I hang Portuguese Silva and put the turbo to stay 2nd and let the opponents behind. But little by little, he takes the lead, so I start checking behind me if they are coming back and they arent, so I cross the line for a fine second place, synonymous with silver medal and title "Vice-Champion of Europe."
So I crossed the line with feelings of happines and proud to wear this beautiful jersey of the national team!
