Race
Taiwan Ironman 70.3
Date
2 Nov 2013
Distance
1.9km swim • 90km bike • 21.1km run

Elite Developement athlete Banjo Norte of Alaska TeamTBB Philippines had a successful race this past weekend at the Taiwan 70.3 which was un-fortunately turned into a duathlon due to the dangerous waves at the beach!

Banjo who's wave started 3 minutes behind the pro's, after the first 6km run, he managed to ride up to the pro chase group on the wet/windy/slippery bike course and get off the bike with Hiroyuki Nishiuchi from teamTBB Japan who would eventually come in 3rd pro!

Off the bike with the big boys Banjo was compelled to start a bit to fast and eventually slowed in the final 5km but still manage to beat a few pro's and win the 18-24 age group!

Now Banjo is very exited to race more international races next year as he will return to college this November until March!
