My blog is a bit late but on the 31st of August we had the dutch national championships OD in Veenendaal. This was also one of the five primary league races so we started with the Team TBB Netherlands team which consisted of Jasmijn, Celine, Daniella and I. Our plan was to stick together as long as we could while swimming so we could bike together and finish it off on the run. But it never really seems to go as planned. I had a hard time on the swim there was a lot of pushing and shoving in the beginning I guess everyone wanted Jasmijn and Celine's feet. Because of all the pushing and shoving I swallowed a lot of water and after 1 of the 3 laps of swimming I started getting a really sore belly and started throwing up. This really got me off track and i guess I forgot to watch where I was supposed to go. Because I rounded the 2nd buoy instead of the 3rd and went straight back to the 1st buoy. after a little bit of swimming a boat came right beside me and told me I was going the wrong way. I came out of the water about 20th which was not where  should have been. my hole back and belly was sore from the vomiting. I still tried to run as fast as I could to my bike once i was on my bike i started feeling a bit better. so I decided to push it hard on the bike and see how far I could get to the front. I rode about 3 laps on the front of the pack so we could catch up the leading pack. After 6 laps of biking we got to transition 2 with about 18 people. So there was nothing else I could do but just run as fast as I could. I ended up finish in 8th place and 2nd under 23. The other girls did good as well. Celine was 1st! Jasmijn 12th and Daniella 39th so our team got a 3rd place!
